We strongly believe that empowered individuals hold the ability to break the cycle of poverty and that in particular, women need to be connected to opportunities so that communities can thrive.
ABOUT THE TECHNIQUES
Shibori is another style of tie and dye, and the word comes from the Japanese word Shikoku, which means "to wring, squeeze or press." Shibori is a way of embellishing textiles by shaping the cloth and then securing with threads before dyeing. The fabric can be folded, crumpled, or twisted, all of which give the fabric its own unique look. True Shibori fabrics cannot be produced by machine, only by hand.
